I also read cookbooks as most read novels. I have tried some recipes so far, and enjoyed them all.

  4. Just found your site by accident but what a great site. I do a LOT of entertaining for family and friends so always looking for new twists to the same old same old.

  5. Christen, I went to high school with your dad but more importantly, I love your blog & website. you have given many good recipe ideas. I have a recipe for you and I would love you try it and blog about it. It is in the Roux-To-Do Jr League cookbook, out of Covington LA. The recipe is: Crescent City Meatloaf
My family LOVES this recipe and the word spreads when they find out I am making it!
If you don’t have this cookbook, email me and I will send you the recipe. Keep on cookin! Cindy Lemoine

  6. Christen,
I just want to say thank you for all your efforts of this website. I enjoy reading your blog and commentary. Also, your recipes are delicious (especially the chipolte pork and sweet potato stew. Loved it! You’ve also inspired me to make ‘dirt’ cake. It’s one of my favorite childhood desserts too!. I turn 30 this Saturday and share it with my fraternal twin, Stephanie. I am gonna suprise her with this cake…..
    Warmest Regards,
    Christyn

  7. My wife Kim owns Bulldog Pepper Jelly, LLC and you have used her Roasted Garlic on a Pork Loin Roast. I believe it is the 9th recipe you posted. We are going commercial with her pepper jellies and have found a co-packer in Texas that cooks her recipes to a “T”. Have also redesigned the label. If you would furnish me with your mailing address I will send you a complimentary case of jelly including her four flavors. Tim Flavin of Flavin Realty, Lake Charles cooks duck poppers and coats them with the Roasted Pecan. I have forwarded your site to numerous friends & family and they love your recipes. We are redesigning our website. Respectfully, Loran White
